In Office Workshops
The following JMC Eye Photo Workshops
are available as In Office Workshops and in combination with State and Regional Ophthalmology Society Meetings
Basic Retinal Imaging Workshop* - 1, 2, or 3 days Do you have three or more people who need training? As an economical alternative, consider bringing the instructor and the course to you. Training at your workplace is a cost effective way to train staff. Each of our listed courses can be scheduled privately for you and your employees in your office or clinic, at your convenience. We will do actual tests with your patients under instructor supervision during the workshop sessions. We can do fluorescein angiograms, and OCTs, producing income as you and your employees learn new or improve existing ophthalmic technical skills. Please Note: All retinal fundus photography and fluorescein angiography must be done with proper medical supervision, as they both require dilation of patient eyes and, for angiography, the injection of dye into the patient. Therefore a physician must be in the office all days we perform patient angiography. Scheduling an In Office Workshop:Here is a cost breakdown of an in office training session... In Office Training Workshops should be scheduled at least 30 days in advance. This helps save on airfare, and allows time to schedule the class with the faculty member teaching the course. If Continuing Education Credits are requested, JCAHPO requires scheduling the workshop at least 30 days in advance. The Workshop can include weekend days as well as workdays to accommodate your office schedule. Patient workshop sessions are usually scheduled on workdays. When you schedule a workshop you will receive a written contract outlining the agreement for services. We require a $600 deposit be paid with the signed contract. The deposit will cover airfare, when required, and should you cancel the workshop, the airfare cost of the deposit is non refundable. The balance of the tuition and all instructor expenses are required to be paid on the date of completion of the workshop. Checks should be made out to JMC Eye Photo, 234 Glastenview Drive, Shaftsbury, VT, 05262. To discuss scheduling a training session, please call John Michael Coppinger 1-802-442-2907 or email him at jmceyephoto@gmail.com. In Office Fee Schedule for all In House WorkshopsTotal Cost = Tuition + Instructor Expenses Tuition Rates: 1 Day $2000 2 Days $3200 3 Days $4000 Instructor's Expenses: If air travel is necessary, expenses include airfare and car rental. If your office is within driving distance of the instructor, mileage is charged at $0.55 / mile. In addition, there is a $195 charge per day for the instructor's lodging, meals, and parking expenses. Per diems are charged for one extra travel day, so a two-day workshop would include a 3 day per diem charge. Tuition rates listed above are day rates and apply to up to 8 students being trained.
