In Office Workshops
All the Workshops listed on The JMC Eye Photo Web Site
are available as In Office Workshops and for State and Regional Ophthalmology Society Meetings
Basic Retinal Imaging Workshop* - 1, 2, or 3 days Do you have three or more people who need training? As an economical alternative, consider bringing the instructor and the course to you. Training at your workplace is a cost effective way to train staff. Each of our listed courses can be scheduled privately for you and your employees in your office or clinic, at your convenience. We will do actual tests with your patients under instructor supervision during the workshop sessions. We can do fluorescein angiograms, OCTs, ultrasounds, and refractions, producing income as you and your employees learn new or improve existing ophthalmic technical skills. Please Note: All retinal fundus photography and fluorescein angiography must be done with proper medical supervision, as they both require dilation of patient eyes and for angiography the injection of dye into the patient. Therefore a physician must be in the office all days we perform patient angiography. In Office Fee Schedule for all WorkshopsTuition Rates: 1 Day course $1500 2 Day course $2500 3 Day course $3500 Instructor's Expenses: If air travel is necessary, includes airfare and car rental. If within driving distance of the instructor, mileage is charged at $0.50 / mile. In addition, there is a $195 charge per day for the instructor's lodging and meals expenses. Total Cost = Tuition + Instructor Expenses Tuition rates listed above are day rates and apply regardless of the number of students being trained. There are no student enrollment limits for any of our courses. JMC Eye Photo has conducted In Office Training for 28 years, and is always open to the specific customers needs. Together we can plan a program that works for your practice. Contact Mr. Coppinger at 1-802-442-2907 to discuss your individual needs and to schedule a workshop. We will happily provide references from previous customers. State and Regional Meeting Rates: The above rates also apply if you wish to schedule a course for any annual State Ophthalmology Society Meeting, whether it be a Doctors or a Technicians Meetings, or both. Two concurrent courses on the same day can be scheduled as well. With two courses, the tuition charge is double the 1, 2, or 3 day rate, since each course is a self contained unit, and requires a separate instructor. Expenses for each instructor are also required. Scheduling an In Office Workshop:In Office Training Workshops require scheduling at least 30 days in advance. This helps save on airfare, and allows time to schedule the class with the faculty member teaching the course, and to submit paperwork for Continuing Education Credits if requested. The Workshop can include weekend days as well as work days to accommodate your schedule. Patient workshop sessions are usually scheduled on work days. When you schedule a workshop you will receive a written contract outlining the agreement for services. We require a $500 deposit be paid with the signed contract. The deposit will cover airfare, when required and should you cancel the workshop, $200.00 of the deposit is non refundable. The balance of the tuition and all instructor expenses are required to be paid on the date of completion of the workshop. Checks should be made out to JMC Eye Photo, 234 Glastenview Drive, Shaftsbury, VT, 05262.
